Abstract
Creighton University and the Catholic Migrant Farmworker Network are unified in their faith commitment to social justice, dignity, and respect for all. Both institutions work tirelessly to bridge the differences and distances that separate the human family. "Migrant Journey Service Learning" examines the impact of experiential learning on college students as they are immersed into the daily lives of the migrant family. The project design serves as a model for other institutions of higher education to provide testimony to what is heard, seen, and shared in pursuit of the truth and social justice. Our call to action has provided us with many opportunities to share sacred stories and our experiences at conferences, universities, and with international audiences. We have received the following honors: 2009 Creighton University Academic Excellence and Assessment Grant and 2010 University of Nebraska Omaha: College of Public Affairs and Community Services Award for Excellence in Public Service.
