Abstract
The Senior Field Practicum provides the footprint for students in the social work field
to do as St. Ignatius asked “go and set the world on fire.” A Jesuit education is
marked by the student’s capacity for contemplation in action, care of the whole person,
and being with and for others. Through the Jesuit tradition, students are prepared for
social work practice by guiding their development from student to professional through
the collective efforts of the Social Work Program, Community Agencies, Alumni, the
Student and the University.
