Abstract
The goal was to analyze the effectiveness of psychoeducation programs on improving occupational performance in individuals with a cancer diagnosis, utilizing current literature. A literature search was performed utilizing CINAHL, Google Scholar, Jama Network, PubMed NIH: National Library of Medicine, Medline, and Academic Search Premier. Inclusion criteria for literature included outcomes-based literature, Level IA and IB evidence, full length articles that were published in peer-reviewed journals, written in English, and addressed all three PIO elements. Exclusion criteria included articles that were analyzed in the included systematic reviews, studies which were level IIA and below, and articles including pediatric clients. Psychoeducation programs included in studies were analyzed for intervention activities, frequency/duration, setting, administration, etc. The outcomes of each intervention were reviewed. These findings were compiled to draw conclusions on the focused question.
